We opened registration for S4x16 at noon EDT today, October 1st, as scheduled on the S4x16 site. A flurry of early purchases followed taking advantage of the first 50 ticket sale at $995, the same price as the original two-day S4x07. I expect those tickets to be gone by today or tomorrow morning latest. You can see the ticket pricing at this link, but basically you save money if you buy a ticket earlier.
We felt it is important to have a large portion of the agenda up prior to asking someone to buy a ticket to S4x16, especially this year as we have changed the format significantly in our move to the Jackie Gleason Theater that has multiple real theater stages. So rather than have OTDay, S4 Technical Sessions and ICSage, we have a Main Stage for the biggest name speakers and general audience sessions, Stage 2 for the Technical Deep Dives that S4 is known for, and the Sponsor Stage.
There are so many new and exciting items to discuss about the event, and we will cover these in the months leading up to S4x16 Week. Please take a look at the agenda, and you will see it has the technical meat from the well known and new faces researchers as always. It also has a lot of big names and best speakers in ICS security and related fields, such as Mikko Hypponen, Ralph Langner, Dave Aitel, Mark Fabro, Katie Mousouriss, Jason Larson, Jason Healey, Patrick Miller, …. and performances on stage you will not imagine possible at an ICS security event. This is going to be a lot of fun.
