We are pleased to announce another big name and interesting speaker for the S4x16 Main Stage. Richard Bejtlich, Chief Security Strategist of FireEye, will present The Revolution in Private Sector Intelligence as the closing Keynote of S4x16.
You may have seen Richard testify at numerous Congressional Hearings, followed him @taosecurity or read his similarly named blog, read his security books, or taken his classes at Black Hat and elsewhere. Richard was the first one to tell me about the concept of APT, which has been misused and bastardized more often than not, while he was still leading GE-CIRT and months before it became a marketing buzzword.
Richard was heavily involved in the Mandiant APT1 report and has strong and well defended positions on China and other topics. In fact we are very pleased to have both Mikko Hypponen and Richard speaking at S4x16. There are definite areas of disagreement, and both defend their positions and make their cases very well. It is a great opportunity for attendees to hear two of the many sides of these issues.
